Ok.  Working on tile sets so that I can work on maps in RPG Maker.

As you can see, I am going with a quasi-isometric like map system, so that it has a lot of interesting ins and outs to it.  So far, I have most of the first tile set done (more than the preview you see here).  One of the other five main tile sets will be mostly a recolor of this one (the grass and the trees), but will include a number of other elements (dead trees, etc).  I will then also have a few sub-sets to do for a caves area, city area, and one other, which I don't want to give anything away about.

Upgrading to VX Ace?  Eventually.  The main things I want to do with my game to make it unique are all possible through Ace, and MUCH harder through standard VX.  Now I just have to get the money to get it.

In the mean time, note that on THIS SIDE OVER HERE <---------------------- I have some updates as to how far I have gotten with things.  When a part of the set is done, I will just list DONE in parenthasis.  As for the in-between status I am using bars "|" to denote completed and dashes "-" to denote not completed.  For the maps, when I have completed a Layout (I am doing all the layouts on graph paper so that I can see what I want to do - which will probably change in the process of creating them in RPG Maker), I will denote it's completeness by one bar "(|---------).

CG News: Still need to get a working scanner: blearg.  Until then I will not have any updates for this.
