So did some more work on writing for the Orc's scenes. Good times. It's terrible.
So a word on the Orcs in Em's world.
First. There is no such thing as a female orc. In order to procreate, orcs MUST use females from other, compatible species. Back before humans came to the continent, the Orcs and Elves were at war for a long time. Since the orcs relied on the Elven females to reproduce, they were always attacking the elves. Eventually they worked out a peace process, which involved female sacrifices. As long as the elves paid up, both races would survive in peace.
Then the humans came. They pacified the orcs because they were too aggressive a species. Now, existing only in small bands, they are always on the lookout for a lone female to prey upon. In order to make her more pliable to the experience, their bodies have developed a natural narcotic that is in all of their bodily fluids. This, like most drugs, have an addiction rate, which doesn't bode well for captured females in the long-term.
Orcs, have, because of their reproduction don't go by the same human and elf standards of lineage. They don't see parents and children, since everyone is a male, they see all orcs as their brothers. Often times, it is also hard to keep track of lineage when a female gives birth to multiple offspring that aren't necessarily identical twins. This is because of the communal-style pregnancy rituals they participate in.
Of course, this can be very hard on the female, and they usually don't last for more than a few years at the rather fast rate at which orcs advance and reproduce. And because of their enhanced lust rate, orcs are particularly hard on females even for non-pregnancy related sexual activities.
Every once in a while I will be posting things like this on races, places, and people in COATF.
In the mean time, I did another fan-art for Barreytor (still thinking of a way to get this into my game, somehow).
This idea came to me when we were talking about making art, and I believe the exact words that were used that set me off were "Top hat and monocle."
And some more hand-drawn stuff for everyone.
